Ski Classes

Adult ski classes start on Monday 1st October 2007

Enrolment for all adult and family classes is on Monday 17th September and Tuesday 18th September 7:00pm to 8:30 pm in the Ski Lodge.

All classes run up to Christmas and with the exeption of beginners are paid for on a week by week basis. However, the first six weeks of all beginner lessons are on a pre paid basis.

Children’s classes

The children's Saturday morning classes start again this year on 29 September (9.15am start) with ten, one hour classes throughout the morning. All instruction is by Kendal Ski Club volunteer instructors who are all trained under the governing body Snowsport England. Classes cover all abilities from absolute beginners onward and we grade the classes on a star basis: 1 star (beginners), 2 star (intermediates) through 3 & 4 star for more advanced levels. Certificates are given out to each child when they attain the required standard.

Over 100 children attended classes last year and all made good progress. Class fees are £45 with own equipment or £60 using club equipment for 10 lessons which represents phenomenal value for money. The minimum age is 7 years old and children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who must remain on the premises. Enrolment for classes is ONLY by phone on 01539 734365 (answerphone). The secretary keeps a list of applicants in strict date order. Upon obtaining a place in the class each child must become a fully paid up junior member of the club.
